It's the prophecies of the end times from the Holy Bible, which Hal Lindsey Included in this book, that's grabbing the attention of many more so today than when the Late Great Planet was first published back in 1970.

.

Hal Lindsey has his own commentary in the Late Great Planet as well, and words himself carefully in his own commentary about the end time prophecies he had included in his Book. I had even noted those who made/make false accusations against what Hal Lindsey clearly wrote of his own commentary, however, we all know what it's like to be taken out of context for whatever the objective may-be in the motive in doing so against another. It's not about Hal Lindsey's own commentary that he suggests "may", or "could possibly happen at such and such a time", as the Book again includes end time Biblical prophecies that have fulfilled in our life time, and end time prophecies that are fulfilling in our every-day life. A Movie was produced on this Book, which starred Orson Wells, which can actually be found on youtube.

Imagine being the Apostle John, who was allowed to see the events of the very End Times, and commanded by the Lord God Jesus Christ to record them in the Book of Revelations. How would you describe futuristics events with only having the knowledge of his "own time" roughly till About 90 A.D? The Bible was inspired by God, and those who seek God, will understand. Did mankind have enough "fire and brimstone" to nearly destroy the Earth back in John's time, again roughly 90 A.D? John will not be foretelling the reader what he saw in modern day terms and so don't expect modern day terms. How would you describe a helicopter if you were living in John's day, which of course a helicopter did not exist.

In Hal Lindsey's commentary in his book "There's A New World Coming", which is a book that includes the entire Book of Revelations, one must remember that "all" the ancient Hebrew prophets, including the Apostle John, lived in "their own time". When commanded by Lord God to write down a particular end time prophecy from a vision they were allowed to see, they had to record the prophecies and imagery with what they could closely relate to with what "they had" in "their own time", and not write their prophecies out in terms of understanding them out-right for the time (generation) these events were to unfold.

Example: How would someone like the Apostle John clearly describe a helicopter in flight, which didn't exist in the apostle John's time-line? Perhaps, a Helicopter in flight in a war would be described by the Apostle John as a "flying locust" that's "shooting fire" from its mouth? It's for certain bullets do shoot out as fire from a helicopter when we see this action even in the Movies of our time. The Apostle John had no idea even of what a bullet was back in his day, but clearly describes what we do see in our movies of today, however, we call them - helicopters.

Jeremiah, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that God would give the Jewish people their language again when the Lord brought them back home to Israel (Jeremiah 31:23). Zephaniah, another Jewish prophet, also wrote of the Jews speaking a pure Hebrew language in the days of the end times (Zephaniah 3:9) Reference Web Site.(New Window) Read Zephaniah Chapter 3 (New Window) .
