The Late Great Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey

Written by Hal Lindsey in regards to the Biblical Prophecies of the last days, and is a book excitingly more-interesting today in 2012, than when his Book was first published way-back in 1970. Way back in 1970 amongst his scoffers of then, scoffers who've even called Lindsey a heretic, scoffers who most assuredly have now been silenced from their scoffing.

Lindsey's book, The Late Great Planet Earth is excitingly more-interesting today in 2012 because Lindsey included actual end-time Scriptual Prophecies amougnst his careful and fine commentaries where his readers could simply look up these prophetic prophecies in the Holy Bible for themselves; to see for themselves; to then watch for themselves from there. And remember, that was way-back in 1970, 42 years ago.

Senior Theologians of Bible Prophecy (Prophecy Analysts) of the literal interpretation of the Holy Bible, who offer books on Bible Prophecy, should include Biblical references from the Holy Bible in regards so that their readers may take a look-see in the Holy Bible for themselves. If they don't? Then may I suggest that you deposit their book right in the trash, even if their book is not on the Prophecies of the Holy Bible in particular.

Yes, people did scream-n-Holler way-back in WW1 & WW2 that the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ was near, but they cried wolf out of their "complete ignorance" of the Word of the Living God, an-all-too-really-sorry-scenario that exists "even worse" today in 2012.

Before the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ could occur, end-time Bible prophecy always "demanded" the Jews would have already been regathering, by the Hand of God, back into their ancient homeland from every nation where they went from their second and final exile, which began in 70 A.D. Israel needed to be a Nation, which this particular prophecy fulfilled historically in 1948,"AFTER" WW1 & WW2. The land of Israel was also to blossom like the Garden of Eden after many centuries as being a desolate wasteland. One need only take a real-good-look at Israel today, along with knowing the history of the ancient homeland of the Jews to see that this prophecy too had historically fulfilled. In regards to the reborn state of Israel? The Lord Jesus Christ Himself had declared such need be in His parallel accounts of the Olivet Discourse with the mention of the blossoming of the Fig tree. Can not be denied (.)

Back in 1970, Lindsey tell us to look for the rising aggressions of the Muslims against the restored nation of Israel; the rise of Russia and its alliance with Iran; the rise of China; the Revival of the Old Roman Empire-the E.U.; the desire of a One World Government (New World Order); the great Apostasy, which is a great falling away from Biblical truth (Sound Familiar?)... And, the list of other Prophetic scenarios that are also now present and accounted for toward being fulfilled including WW3, the battle of Armageddon, which is when the Actual Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ occurs to prevent mankind from utter destruction, which could only come about from a thermonuclear war era. US!

There is a rumor about that Hal Lindsey had falsely predicted the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to occur in 1988 as though Lindsey was dogmatic too about this "supposed prediction' he had made, but when you read Lindsey's careful commentaries from his first book 'The Late Great Planet Earth' published way-back in 1970, such an accusation against Lindsey does not make any logical sense that Lindsey would even dare to predict such a Divine Event, as to know the date dogmatically. Lindsey himself stated on His official web site that He was tired of being 'taken out of context.' On page 54 of his book 'The Late Great Planet Earth, Lindsey states in regards to which Generation was Christ speaking of in Matthew 24:34 - Lindsey writes below.

================
"What Generation? Obviously, in context, the generation that would see the signs -- chief among them the rebirth of Israel. A Generation in the Bible is something like 40 years. 'IF (note the IF) THIS IS A CORRECT DEDUCTION', then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things 'COULD' (note the COULD) take place."

I see iffy-could speculations there that don't measure-up to the definition of an out-right prediction. Lindsey surely should have not included these iffy-could speculations in his book for the ravenous-wolves that surely would await him after the much "SUCCESS" this book surely had, and still has today, as Lindsey made it really easy to take what Lindsey actually stated ---> right out of context. However, Lindsey clearly did not make an out-right dogmatic prediction of the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as to set a date. At least, not in this book He didn't, which again, is his very first book on Bible Prophecy.

The Pre-tribulation Rapture of the Church is in this book The Late Great Planet Earth under the chapter of - "The Ultimate Trip!! Praise the Lord God!! Amen!! The Blessed Hope of the appearing of our Great God and Savior to snatch believers in the Lord Jesus Christ(Both the dead and the Living at the time), right out of the Earth within a twinkling of an eye before the Judgements can fall upon a still Christ rejecting world.

I highly recommend this Book, The Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsey for those beginning to show an interest in Bible Prophecy. I would also recommend listening to other sound and reputable Senior Prophecy Analysts of Bible Prophecy, as the only "ONE" WHO knows FOR SURE the "timing" of WHEN the remaining end-time prophecies of the Holy Bible will fulfill, is LORD GOD HIMSELF. We, Christians, were just given to know the SEASON of His Second Coming as to be alert via the signs that are clearly - HERE.

Hal Lindsey is now 80 years of age and still going strong, thank the Lord God. Hal has been named the Jeremiah of his day. What his Jeremiah status really is, is not a modern day prophet, but that Lord God gave him a real lot of insight into what the real Jeremiah was Inspired by Lord God himself as what to write, amongst all the other God inspired Old and New Testament Prophets alike.

Jeremiah, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that God would give the Jewish people their language again when the Lord brought them back home to Israel (Jeremiah 31:23). Zephaniah, another Jewish prophet, also wrote of the Jews speaking a pure Hebrew language in the days of the end times (Zephaniah 3:9) Reference Web Site.(New Window) Read Zephaniah Chapter 3 (New Window) .
